I was happy while buying all the groceries at The big city without looking at the prices. I'm not worried because I know the price are cheaper than the place Im staying right now. Labuan, Federal Territory of Labuan. An Island near by Brunei and Sabah. Outsiders like and love to come and stay in a short times here. They love to come here just because they 'thought' everything are cheap here. No... No... No... Only things that are cheap here are Liquor, chocolates, Cigarette, inported cares, fakes pearls and phillipino's girls. The rest are all expensives. I dont know how the low income people can stand and live their life here. Some young families that their parents came from the main land will move back there because the education at Main Land less expensive rather than here. I think so.
A lot of outsiders stay and working here. Especially the government sectors. Who does'nt want to work and stay here? They must be crazy. Y? EPW of cause. What is EPW? Elaun Perumahan Wilayah or Federal Housing Allowance. Labuan are 1 of the areas that been given higher EPW at Malaysia. RM730, RM930. Plus few allowances. Come on. No wonder a lot of my childhood friends working in the govt sectors move out from Labuan. The local people working at Labuan, will not be given the EPW's allowances. So the salary are not that good. Thats why a lot of my local friends go out and work outside Labuan.Only 2 areas in Malaysia that been given higher EPW's are Labuan and Kota Kinabalu's area.
The salary are small but all the foods and raw materials are very expensives. I always give only one example. Ketchup or Chilies sauce...Hehehe... But its the truth. Bought 1 at Survey Putatan, only RM2.50 at Labuan = RM3.50!!! same amount same brand. The shops or supermarkets said what? They said because of the transportation fee from kk to Labuan. No comment.
